Frequently Asked Questions

Let's get you the answers you need. Below are straight answers about what it's like to work together, from process and pricing to project specifics. No fluff, just clarity. If you're ready for the next step, let's connect.

  • What is the first step to start a project with you?

The first step is to complete the project inquiry form on my contact page. The more detail you can provide, the better prepared I can be for our first meeting. Don't worry if you're unsure about some questions, it’s my job to help guide you through the process.

What does your creative process look like?

My process is structured in four key phases to ensure we are aligned every step of the way:

    • Discovery & Strategy: We begin with a deep dive into your business, goals, and audience to build a solid strategic foundation for the project.

    • Design & Development: Based on the strategy, I develop the visual concepts and build out the creative assets, whether it's a brand identity or a full website.

    • Feedback & Revisions: This is a collaborative phase where you provide feedback to refine the designs until they perfectly align with your vision.

    • Launch & Handoff: Once everything is approved, we launch! I'll hand off all the final files and provide any necessary training to empower you moving forward.

What kind of clients do you enjoy working with?

I love working with passionate people, that energy is contagious! I'm especially drawn to projects, products, or missions that aim to better the lives of people or animals.

How much input will I have on the project?

This is a true partnership. Your feedback and approval are crucial at every stage. A milestone is only considered complete once you've signed off on it, ensuring the final result perfectly matches your vision.

Who will I be working with?

When you hire me, you work directly with me. You get my full attention as the creative director, strategist, and lead on your project from start to finish.

  • What services do you specialize in?

I specialize in Brand Strategy, Visual Identity Design, Website Overhauls, and Book Design. For a complete list and more details, please see my services page.

Can you help with copywriting, photography, or social media management?

My core services include copywriting and social media management. While I don't personally offer photography, I have a network of talented professional photographers. I can direct the photoshoot to ensure the final images align perfectly with the creative vision we've established for your brand.

I'm an author. What kind of services do you offer for writers?

I offer a full suite of services for authors, including cover design, interior book formatting, author website development, and creating marketing materials for your book launch.

Do I need a full branding package, or can you just design a logo?

While I can design a standalone logo, I always encourage a full branding package. Your business isn't just a logo; it's an entire identity. Taking the time to build a cohesive brand strategy with a full visual system is what will truly help you stand out and be remembered by your audience.

  • How much does a project typically cost?

Project costs vary widely based on the scope of work. I offer three main packages to suit clients at different stages of their business. You can see detailed pricing and package information on my services page.

How do you handle billing and payments?

Once the contract has been signed, a 50% deposit is required to book the project in my calendar. The final 50% is due upon completion, before the final files are delivered.

    Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! Because I believe passionate founders deserve great branding, I offer flexible payment options to help manage the investment. These are typically structured around key project milestones. The best way to explore this is during a free consultation.

Reach out here, and we can discuss your goals and find a plan that works.

How long will my project take?

Timelines depend on the project's complexity, but typical ranges are:

    • Brand Identity Project: 4-6 weeks

    • Full Website Overhaul: 8-12 weeks

What will I receive at the end of the project?

Upon completion, you will receive all the assets you need to move forward confidently.

    • For Branding Projects: This includes your final logo files in all necessary formats (AI, PNG, SVG, EPS) and a comprehensive brand style guide (PDF).

    • For Website Projects: You will receive a live, fully-functioning website. I also provide a personalized training session to show you how to make updates. If you prefer ongoing support, we can arrange a monthly retainer.

  • What's the difference between a Brand, a Brand Identity, and a Logo?

    • Logo: A single graphic symbol that represents your business.

    • Brand Identity: The complete visual system for your business, including your logo, color palette, typography, and imagery. It’s your "look and feel."

    • Brand: The overall perception and emotional connection people have with your company. It’s your reputation—what people say about you when you're not in the room.

What is a Brand Style Guide?

Think of it as the instruction manual for your brand identity. It's a document I create that details your logo usage, color codes, fonts, and other design rules to ensure your brand remains consistent and professional everywhere it appears.

What's the difference between Vector and Raster files?

    • Raster files (like JPGs and PNGs) are made of pixels. They're great for photos, but they become blurry and pixelated when enlarged.

    • Vector files (like AI, EPS, and SVG) are made from mathematical formulas. This means they can be scaled to any size—from a pen to a billboard—without ever losing quality. Your final logo will always be delivered as a vector file.

What do the different file types (JPG, PNG, SVG, EPS) mean?

    • JPG: Best for rectangular images and photos on the web.

    • PNG: Perfect for web use when you need a transparent background.

    • SVG: A modern vector file for the web that looks crisp on all screen resolutions.

    • EPS: The industry-standard vector file for professional printing.

What's the difference between RGB, CMYK, and HEX codes?

    • RGB (Red, Green, Blue): The color model used for digital screens.

    • CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black): The color model used for print materials.

    • HEX Code: A six-digit code that specifies an exact color for web design. Your brand guide will include all three codes to ensure your brand colors are perfect, both online and in print.

    What are Wireframes and Mockups?

These are two key steps in the website design process. A wireframe is the basic blueprint, like an architect's sketch, focusing only on structure and layout. A mockup is the next step: a high-fidelity visual design that shows what the final website will look like.

    What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. In simple terms, it's the process of making your website more attractive to search engines like Google to help your ideal customers find you.

    What is UX / UI?

    • UI (User Interface) is the visual design of a website—the buttons, colors, and typography. It's about how it looks.

    • UX (User Experience) is the overall feeling a person gets when using the site—is it easy and intuitive, or confusing and frustrating? My goal is always to create a great UX supported by a beautiful UI.
